I Love Reading Everyone's Blogs

Girls, I love your blogs. They are funny, entertaining, and educational! I am going to miss you all in 5 months!!!! I had some good experiences at the VA today. My patients were all very nice and easy to talk to. Katie gave us all time limits for scaling based on our patient classifications. I really liked that she did that so we knew exactly how much time it should be taking us to scale a 1b, II, III, etc. She also gave us some direction on giving PSA injections. I think it really helped (I won't know until I give one on Thursday). I've really enjoyed my VA group. Everyone is really nice and supportive and helpful. I am going to miss them next semester! Also, yesterday during Board Review study time, a few of us were going over the 2009 National Board test. There was some question about a muscle relaxor that we had never heard of and then last night, I found the drug referenced in Malamed. It's is Chapter 2. The drug is succinylcholine and in case you are ever asked about it, it is a "short-acting muscle relaxant commonly employed during the induction phase of general anesthesia". Now we know.
