2nd Mockboard

Today was second mockboards. I was not nearly as nervous as last time, but I still didn't perform to the best of my ability. Granted, I did better than last time, but I could still do much much better. The best part about the entire experience was when my patient said, "I can tell a big difference in the way my teeth feel." Sometimes, (especially at mockboards), I get tunnel vision and forget there is a person connected to the teeth that I am cleaning. I'm glad my patient noticed a difference and has made a goal to get his teeth cleaned more often to work on better homecare. I was really excited to take the LA written mockboard this afternoon. I thought it was pretty easy, unlike Malamed questions. I don't think it was truly a good indication of the real board, but the questions were about topics that I know are important. So overall, it was an exhausting day and I am looking forward to a day off tomorrow. Good luck to all those on Thursday!!!
